Zilzie Bay – Best in Business (Media Release)
The Bay restaurant at Zilzie Bay is now officially rated the best in central Queensland.
Winning the 2008 Morning Bulletin “Best in the Business” award is a gratifying testimony to the many satisfied customers who have enjoyed meals and drinks over the past 12 months.
Prime cuts of beef, lamb, chicken and locally caught seafood headline The Bay menu – with the emphasis on fresh produce.
While a wide range of foaming beers is on tap at the modern bar made of carved teak with hand painted ceramic tops.
The Bay restaurant is open six days a week to the general public. All meals and drinks are priced to meet local market expectations.
Developers Chris and Rita Dadson proudly accepted the prestigious award at a lavish function in Rockhampton on Friday night.
“I pride myself on delivering nothing but the best and that extends to all parts of the Zilzie Bay project,” said Mr Dadson.
“I won’t compromise on quality and I think this shows through all areas of the leisure complex.
“It’s also great for the staff to receive recognition for all the hard work they put in to ensure our customers have a first class dining experience.
“The restaurant and bars have now been open just on a year and just add to the quality lifestyle experiences available to residents, guests and the general public.
“We are looking forward to expanding the business this year as we open the first nine holes of the golf course and also the gymnasium. I think the residents of Zilzie Bay are proud to have such a first class facility right on their doorstep.”
The top deck of the award-winning Reef Palms building is a spacious function facility with the capacity to seat large numbers.

The Bay restaurant is open during the following hours:
Tuesday to Friday – Morning Tea 10am to noon; Lunch 12pm to 2pm, Afternoon tea 2pm to 4pm
Friday and Saturday – Dinner 6pm to 10pm
Sunday – Buffet Lunch 12pm-3pm
