Best Display Home in CQ
Zilzie Bay has reaffirmed its credentials as a real estate hotspot by winning a second successive award for the best display home in central Queensland. The overall quality of the two-key resort home featuring four bedrooms saw it take out the Master Builders regional final presented in Rockhampton on Saturday night. A multi-millionaire international businessman is the proud owner of the award winning home designed by Zilzie Real Estate.
One of the most impressive features of the interior design is a fully self-contained area in one section of the house to accommodate guests. The main body of the home incorporates spacious open-plan living overlooking a deep-water lake. Another eye-catcher is the kitchen, an impressive mix of rich timber and Bizzaz stone, adding a “beachy” feel to the home. Solid hardwood doors and skirting throughout add to the list of quality fixtures and fittings. The “Sunrise” home at Zilzie Bay, last year’s state award winner, sold for $2.1 million – a record price for central Queensland residential property.
Zilzie Bay developer Chris Dadson said all homes already built, under construction or in various stages of planning were of an exceptionally high quality. “Buyers into this project want something that’s cutting edge and we provide that opportunity,” Mr Dadson said. “This is a clean palette for landowners and they are really embracing the chance to create something of absolute quality. “And many coast residents are starting to realise what an exciting development we have right on our doorstep.” Mr Dadson said the two-key home demonstrated the value of good planning and attention to detail. "What obviously impressed the judges was not only the home’s overall quality but also its innovative and functional design,” Mr Dadson said. “But it also shows the importance of matching the home to the site, and we have one of the best coastal locations in all Queensland.”
Zilzie Bay is a $1.2 billion residential and golf course community being undertaken by developer Chris Dadson. All homes on the estate must meet set standards that assist in protecting everyone’s investment and ensure that all buildings add to the overall streetscape appeal.
